Jazimin Abdul Jalil and Norazian Bistaman may face charges under the Child Protection Act if investigations show that their negligence had contributed to Nurin’s death.
“The search for Nurin is over and now we will focus on catching the killer and see if the parents had been negligent in looking after her safety,” said Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan.
“There is an urgent need to come up with more doable steps rather than just talk to impress. We have been talking about this for the last 25 years and we are still talking today. Shelter executive director James Nayagam
“But with the increasing cases of neglect, it is time to make an example of these people. Malaysian Child Welfare Council secretary Ismail Majid
We loved our daughter. This is not our fault.
“The anguish of the parent of the missing child will only be compounded by the public scrutiny, humiliation, and in some cases, vilification through trial by media. Malaysian Bar Council president Ambiga Sreenevasan
“We must remember that the parents are already victims here.Criminal lawyer Baljit Sidhu

Nurin was kidnapped in a ‘pasar malam’ 200m away from her house. She goes there every Monday. So whose fault is it. The parents?
Some madman kidnaps a girl in a residential area and it is supposed to be the parents’ fault? What is the use of the authorities then? The IGP should know better than to blame the victim’s parents for his own failures.

It’s not negligence of the parents, the parents is simply to trusting, there is a saying
“theft sees others to steal their things, and liar sees others to tell them lies”
for no apparent reason people are to be overly protective for their children, this will seriously prevent children to grow, but let the be free.
I am not saying one should neglect totally of parenting, but to blame the parents of something the goverment has cause has no right in it.
My stand is that the parents are not at fault here. Not at all.
yeah man…i feel the parents are nt some psychics to expect whats coming next…she goes there every monday and nothing happens so it bcomes a norm for the parents to allow her to the pasar malam…to me the only person at fault is the inhumane murderer….not even the authority because they do not know what to expect as well!
Thinesh…..you are right…..nobody is to be blamed other than that bastard…
new updates on the case….a suspect is arrested

Hey, nice header you have. First of all, it is the murderer’s fault. But you have to understand that you can’s stop murderer’s. They will be formed anywhere over the world. Even in ancient times, there are murderers.
Now, what should the normal people do is, be more carefull. I would say its the parents negligence. Its because, how can you let a small girl go to the Pasar Malam alone.
For instance, when you get your child, would you let her go to the Pasar Malam which is right in front of your house.. ALONE ?? So it is partly the parents negligence, but we can’t keep hurting them with this, cause what has happen has happened. But they should be taught a lesson, so that other parents will be more carefull…
